風(fēng)景
我熱(rè)衷于風(fēng)景攝影。當我遠(yuǎn)離(lí)平凡的生(shēng)活，親近自(zì)然的時候，我感覺很惬意。大(dà)多數好的風(fēng)景作(zuò)品都(dōu)拍(pāi)攝于晚上或者很早的清晨。我也會通過長時間地曝光(guāng)讓相(xiàng)機(jī)去(qù)獲取平時我們肉眼看(kàn)不見(jiàn)的風(fēng)景。我已經從(cóng)事風(fēng)景攝影很多年(nián)了，這組作(zuò)品都(dōu)是用數碼相(xiàng)機(jī)拍(pāi)攝的（有一張除外）。《蘑菇岩》這幅作(zuò)品，我用了特别準備的彩色膠片用膠片相(xiàng)機(jī)通過長達7個小時的曝光(guāng)拍(pāi)攝出來(lái)的。
Landscape photography is my passion. I enjoy the fact that I can get away from ordinary life and enjoy nature. Most good landscapes are taken at night or very early in the morning. I also use long exposures to capture what we cannot see with our eyes.
I’ve been photographing landscape photos for many years, but this portfolio were all (except for one) photograph with a digital camera. Mushroom Rock is a 7 hour exposure taken with a film camera with a specially prepared colour film.

Curriculum Vitae – Johann van der Walt FPSSA
Johann has been a member of the Vereeniging Photographic Society for the past 13 years and for the past 9 years has held a position on the Society’s management committeewhere he is currently the chairman.
Johann joined the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA) 11 years ago. He received his Licentiateship with PSSA in digital prints in 2002, his Associateship in 2006 and his Fellowship in 2011.
Johann has been a Regional Director for PSSA for 6 years and Vice President of PSSA for 2 years. Currently he is the President of PSSA.
Johann is very active on the national salon scene and has received several awards for his images, including 5 PSSA silver medals, 4 PSSA Bronze medals and several Runner-up medals. . In 2009 Johann entered 24 images in the Trierenberg International Super Circuit and received a total of 71 acceptances. In 2011 he received a PSA honourable mention ribbon for one of his star trail photographs in the Stichting Holland International Circuit.
Johann is a co-developer of the PSSA Judging Accreditation Programme (JAP) and on a regular basis facilitates judging workshops throughout South Africa. Johann is a popular judge at clubs and PSSA affiliated national salons. Johann is also a member of the PSSA Honours Judging Panel.
Johann is a regular speaker at clubs and at regional, as well as national congresses. Some of the topics presented include Altered Reality Photography as an Art Form; The Photoshop Building Blocks for Post Processing; Night Photography with emphasis on Painting with Light techniques; Infrared Landscape Photography; Star Trail Photography; Post Processing for Digital Monochrome Photography and Composition Guidelines for Landscape Photography.
In 2012 Johann was invited as a guest speaker to present a paper on Creative Landscape Photography at one of the Nikon Pro Talk sessions. Johann also presented a talk on Composing the Landscape at the 2012 South African Photo & Film Expo.
Nikon purchased and permanently displays a collection of Johann’s landscape photos in their South African head office gallery.
Johann is the co-owner of the Photographic Landscape workgroup called Photoparadise.org and regularly hosts hands-on landscape workshops and photo safaris.
Johann is also the owner and developer of the popular photographic competition and photo club administration website PhotovaultOnline.com.
To Johann, photography is a way of life.
